KOCIAN DEPASQUA
19th c. Small Size Double Nested
Betty Lamp with twisted iron pick
hanger.

This early lighting device more
closely resembles a double cruise
or Phoebe grease or lard lamp as
evidenced by the lack of wick
support channel in the top pan (the
primary characteristic of a Betty
lamp) and the bottom pan
functioning as a drip catcher.

Purely Patriotic WWI Pacific Railways "Liberty Bond"
Sign, Circa 1917
WWI Pacific Railways 13 star sheet iron trade sign for
liberty bonds. Subscribing to the American "liberty
Bond" became a symbol of patriotic duty within the
United States. These bonds supported World War I and
introduced the idea of financial securities to many
citizens for the first time in history. The 13 stars at the
top of the shield were homage to the thirteen original
colonies. A fantastic example of an American patriotic
shield with the rarity of "Liberty Bonds" verbage.
Excellent condition, retains an untouched original
painted surface with no in-painting, with only minor
scratches, minor paint loss commensurate with age.
