Pair of American Carved Articulated Dancing Black Man Figures, Circa
1930’s. An exceptional and unusual pair of African American dancing
figures. A very desirable form to collectors of black memorabilia and folk

19th c. Oval Bentwood Pantry Box with single fingered lid in
original green paint. Constructed from pine with overlapping
seams, tacked joints and metal clinch. Box is accompanied by
a sales receipt dated November 1966 tucked inside. Size: 6"
long, 2 3/4" high.

A wonderful shelf made of pine and square cut nails,
most probably original red wash and it is made from a
single pine plank back board with finely scrolled sides
and a molded edge shelf. Height: 27 3/4" depth: 7", length:

& ochre surface. This box is secured with original hand
wrought wood pegs laps secured with larger forged

19th c. Blue Pantry Box, signed illegibly on top. A wonderful original blue color and nicely worn surface. This box has a sturdy construction with unusual
decorative weaved/knotted embellishment at the joint seams. This box is secured with original hand wrought wood pegs, is constructed of White Ash with
an Eastern White Pine base. This box has that nice hand softened feel to it from generations of use. H: 2 5/8", Length is 5 3/4"



Speakeasy Gambling Wheel, American circa 1930
This Roulette wood rimmed bicycle wheel had been converted to a double-sided
Roulette wheel and used at Speakeasies during the Prohibition in America. The
color remains a vibrant yellow with deep red & black detailing and painted numbers.
The gambling wheel spins freely until it finally lands on a number by the leather flap.
History: It was during Prohibition in America that it was illegal to drink or even
possess alcohol. Underground or secret saloons cropped up and sold alcohol 1933
there were 200,000 Speakeasies in America. Another interesting fact is in New
York alone there were 32,000 Speakeasies, whereas before the prohibition of
alcohol there had been only 15,000 saloons. This Speakeasy Gambling Wheel is a
great piece of Americana and looks really cool hung on a wall. Measurements:

Big Old Wooden Railroad Sign, circa 1890-1920
A double-sided railroad crossing sign made form two large single board sprucewood planks. This sign is of early form with
pointed ends and very large size from the heyday of the American Railroad.
Excellent original condition commensurate with exposure to the elements.

Pair of 18th Century New England Wall Sconces, circa 1765-1800
An exceptional pair of tinned sheet iron hanging wall sconces with
round dish form backs and hand-crimped edges. A rare and early
diminutive form in American sconces most likely used in a sitting room
or bedchamber. These sconces are in excellent original condition
retaining much of their tinning. Setting the candle socket further toward
the front than typical to increase the spread of reflected light, may well
account for the excellent condition of the tinning on the back plate.
